The Educational Support Team is a cross-professional team consisting of special educators, school psychologists, and speech therapists. We work closely together with both preschool and school, focusing on preventive and health-promoting child and student health work based on equitable education, increased goal fulfillment, and safety and study peace.

We believe in the power of cross-professional collaboration and offer a workplace where collegial learning is at the center. During our joint meetings, we allocate time to develop our operations and distribute and analyze incoming assignments from principals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as a special educator, you will be part of the professional group along with other special educators, school psychologists, and speech therapists. The assignment is broad and varied and includes:

• Guidance and support to work teams, individual educators, and principals based on child and student matters
• Observation of learning environments and analysis of educational investigations, test results, and assessments
• Conducting investigations within the professional area (reading and writing difficulties, mathematics difficulties)
• Leading and participating in educational networks
• Planning and conducting professional development and lectures
• Contributing to development work at the local and municipal level

The work is largely based on incoming assignments from principals in preschool and school, which means close collaboration with principals and their local student health teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a certified teacher with a special education degree, preferably with a focus on reading and writing development. You have training in the investigation of reading and writing difficulties as well as mathematics difficulties, and you are confident in your professional role and comfortable taking on a leading role in educational contexts.

You have a good ability to navigate between different perspectives and drive development work together with colleagues, always focusing on the child's and student's entire school journey. It is an advantage if you have in-depth knowledge of neuropsychiatric disabilities.

As a person, you are attentive to the context you are in, communicative, action-oriented, and see opportunities where others see obstacles. You enjoy working both independently and in close collaboration with your team.

Requirements for the position:

• Certified teacher with a special education degree
• Training in the investigation of reading and writing difficulties as well as mathematics difficulties
• Driver's license (travel between the municipality's operations is included in the position)
